Carambola Maha is a premium variety of starfruit known for its larger size, with a vibrant yellow color, and delicate, mild flavour. The Maha Carambola reaches a height of 3-5m. It has a crisp texture and is less overpowering than other starfruit varieties, making it perfect for Asian style cooking, juicing, or adding to salads. This variety is picked early (when it is sour) for use in culturally important dishes for example in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesian style cooking. When ripe it has a refreshing, sweet juicy taste for fresh eating.
