Gwen Avocado is a compact, upright tree prized for its rich, nutty-flavoured fruit with smooth, buttery texture. Slightly smaller than ‘Hass’, the oval fruit has thick, pebbly green skin that stays green when ripe and resists bruising. The tree grows densely to around 4 to 5 metres, making it perfect for smaller gardens or large pots. Best in temperate to subtropical climates, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Self-pollinating, though planting near a type B variety can boost yields.
