The “Wai Chi” lychee is a dwarf fruit tree that is probably the best lychee for growing in pots and containers. A small round shaped bush. Crops well, with high quality delicious fruit.

In the ground, it grows half as big as a regular lychee tree (about 2-3m). Can be pruned to 2m.

Freshly picked lychees are absolutely delicious compared to supermarket fruit. Prefers rich well drained soil, with lots of organic matter and mulch to retain moisture.

Self-pollinating.
Evergreen.
Fruits after 2-3 years

Trees are air-layered (grafted) and currently about 50-60cm high above the pot.
