Grumichama Cherry

The tropical equivalent of the european cherry, for growing in warmer frost-free climates (can withstand light frosts once established). The purplish-black fruit 2cm diameter are produced in clusters. Flesh is white, melting in your mouth, and very sweet. Mostly used for fresh eating, but also highly prized for jams, jellies and pies.

Well suited to pots and containers.
Ready to begin fruiting in 2-3 years
Slow growing, rounded bushy shape with glossy leaves.
Generally grows 2-5m in the ground or 2m in a pot.
