The Hass avocado is the most popular avocado variety wordwide. It is known for its rich, creamy texture and slightly nutty flavour. The tree produces medium-sized avocados with a distinctive pebbly skin that turns almost black when ripe. This medium-sized grafted tree is supplied about 40cm high above the pot and will start fruiting within 2 years. Given the right conditions, it can grow vigorously, reaching heights of up to 5-7 metres, but it can be pruned to a smaller size for easier management. It thrives in warm, sunny climates, though it can tolerate cooler temperatures better than some other avocado types.
