The Tommy Atkins mango tree is a unique variety of mango that is native to Florida and can commonly be found growing across South America. This mango tree is a popular commercial variety because it is disease resistant and requires less spraying (if any). The fruit has a attractive appearance, a long shelf life, and doesn't bruise easily.

It has a mild taste that is not too sweet. It does give a strong aroma though. The texture is soft, juicy and it has stringy fibers that give the Mango a substantial texture.
