Midyim Berry ‘Copper Tops’ (Austromyrtus dulcis)

Midyim Berry ‘Copper Tops’, also known as Austromyrtus dulcis and commonly called Midgen Berry in some regions, is a compact Australian native shrub with glossy green foliage and small, sweet berries that ripen from pink to deep purple. It typically grows to around 0.3–0.5 m high and 0.5–1 m wide, forming a dense, spreading habit ideal for garden beds, borders, or pots. Best grown in full sun to part shade with well-drained soil, it tolerates dry conditions once established. Regular watering during fruiting supports berry production, and light pruning helps maintain a neat, tidy shape. Perfect for bush tucker gardens, native plantings, and attracting birds and pollinators.
