Longan

Longan Fruit Tree (Dimocarpus longan) produces round brown fruit with translucent, sweet flesh with a  honey or caramel-like flavour, and a slightly cooling peppermint/spicey aftertaste. The fruit is very popular in China, Thailand, Vietnam and Taiwan. Trees prefer full sun with well-drained soil, performing well in warm subtropical and tropical climates with protection from strong winds and frost.
