Starfruit 'Fwang Tung'

Starfruit ‘Fwang Tung’ (Averrhoa carambola) is a rewarding tropical fruit tree that produces crisp, juicy fruit with a refreshing sweet to tart flavour, perfect for fresh eating, juicing or garnishing.

It grows to around 4 to 6 m tall and 3 to 5 m wide and can be kept smaller with pruning, thriving in full sun to part shade with the best fruiting in full sun. With regular watering and consistently moist, well drained soil, this variety is a reliable and attractive choice for warm climate gardens, and mature trees can produce fruit multiple times a year in ideal conditions.
